Protect Our Parks was a volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to keeping public park land open to the public. It sounded like a simple idea, but in Chicago, public parks continue to be under threat from all directions. Sadly, after the passing of it main organizer, the organizer no longer is active and in 2026 their website disappeared. Here is a summary of their legal challenges.
